A weak upper ridge

A weak upper ridge will bring some clearing to the area today. However another in a series of weak upper level disturbances will bring more cloud and some light precipitation to the area on thursday.

Flurries or showers on Friday. a second weak ridge is expected for Saturday with another disturbance ready to move onto the coast for Sunday. Temperatures will remain right around the freezing mark for the weekend.

Today..A mix of sun and cloud. Alpine temperature steady near minus 4. Freezing level 1200 metres. Mountain top winds light and variable.

Tonight..Cloudy periods. 30 percent chance of flurries this evening.
Alpine temperature steady near minus 4. Freezing level surface.
Mountain top winds light and variable.

Thursday..A mix of sun and cloud. 30 percent chance of flurries.
Alpine temperature steady near minus 3. Freezing level 1200 metres.
Mountain top winds light and variable becoming east 10 km/h in the morning.

Friday.. Cloudy. 60 percent chance of flurries. Snowfall accumulation trace. Freezing level 1000 metres.

Saturday.. Cloudy. Freezing level 1250 metres.

Sunday.. Cloudy. 60 percent chance of flurries. Snowfall accumulation trace. Freezing level 1250 metres.
