Another front

A frontal system will move across the South Coast this evening. Another frontal system will approach the South Coast on Saturday bringing more precipitation and rising freezing levels.

The front is expected to move through the South Coast late Sunday morning. A ridge of high pressure will begin to build on Monday providing mainly dry conditions. A weak front is currently forecast move across the ridge on Tuesday with a chance of precipitation.

Tonight..Snow easing to a few flurries overnight Snowfall amount 5 to 10 cm.
Alpine temperature steady near minus 3.
Freezing level steady near 1200 metres lowering to 1000 metres overnight.
Mountain top winds becoming southeast 40 gusting to 60 km/h this evening.

Saturday..Snow beginning in the morning and becoming heavy Saturday evening.
Snowfall amount 10 to 15 cm through Saturday evening.
Alpine high minus 2.
Freezing level near 900 metres rising to 1400 metres late in the day.
Mountain top winds light rising to southeast 40 to 60 km/h.

Sunday.. Periods of snow easing in the morning.
Snowfall amount 15 to 20 cm.
Freezing level lowering to 1000 metres.

Monday.. A mix of sun and cloud.
Freezing level 1200 metres.

Tuesday.. Cloudy with 60 percent chance of flurries.
Freezing level 1300 metres.
