A weak ridge of high pressure

A weak ridge of high pressure building over the South Coast will result in only scattered precipitation today then provide dry conditions on Wednesday.

The next front will move across Northern Vancouver Island on Thursday and then shift over the Inner South Coast on Friday. Temperatures will be cooler in the wake of the front Saturday.

Today..Cloudy with sunny periods and scattered flurries.
Snowfall amounts trace to 2 cm.
Alpine temperature steady near minus 4.
Freezing level rising to 1200 metres this afternoon.
Mountain top winds light.

Tonight..Mainly cloudy.
Alpiner low minus 7.
Freezing level lowering to valley bottom.
Mountain top winds light.

Wednesday.. A mix of sun and cloud.
Alpine high minus 5.
Freezing level rising to 1000 metres.

Thursday..Cloudy with a few flurries.
Snowfall accumulation trace to 2 cm.
Freezing level 1300 metres.

Friday..Periods of snow.
Snowfall amount 5 to 10 cm.
Freezing level 1500 metres.

Saturday..Cloudy with a few flurries.
Snowfall accumulation trace to 2 cm.
Freezing level 1000 metres.
