More storms on the way

Fair weather is in store for today under an upper ridge.
A frontal system will approach overnight to bring snow to higher elevations with modest accumulations for Friday.

Today..A mix of sun and cloud.
Alpine temperature steady near minus 7.
Freezing level near valley bottom.
Mountain top winds light and variable.

Tonight..Cloudy. Snow developing overnight.
Alpine temperature steady near minus 7.
Snowfall accumulation 2-4 cm.
Freezing level near valley bottom.
Mountain top winds south 20 km/h increasing around midnight to 40 gusting to 60.

Friday..Snow ending in the afternoon then cloudy.
Alpine high minus 6.
Snowfall accumulation 5 to 10 cm.
Freezing level surface.
Mountain top winds south 40 gusting 60 km/h becoming northwest 30 in the afternoon.

5 Day Trend..The storm track is poised to set itself up over Southwest BC for a good portion of this week. Expect significant snow to accumulate over higher terrain.

Saturday.. Cloudy with sunny periods. 60 percent chance of flurries.
Freezing level valley bottom.

Sunday.. Snow. Snowfall accumulation 30 to 50 cm.
Freezing level 1600 metres.

Monday.. Snow. Snowfall accumulation 30 to 50 cm.
Freezing level 1250 metres.
