Mainly sunny

A weak ridge of high pressure will bring improved conditions today with mainly sunny skies through Sunday afternoon. A Pacific front will approach the region late Sunday with periods of snow beginning overnight.

Today..Sunny becoming a mix of sun and cloud this afternoon.
Alpine high plus 4.
Freezing level rising to 2000 metres late this morning.
Mountain top winds light and variable.

Tonight..A few clouds.
Alpine low zero.
Freezing level 2100 metres.
Mountain top winds light and variable.

Sunday..Sunny with increasing cloudiness in the afternoon. Periods of snow beginning overnight.
Alpine high plus 3.
Snowfall amounts 2 cm.
Freezing level 2100 metres lowering to 1700 metres near midnight.
Mountain top winds light and variable becoming south 20 to 30 km/h near midday.

5 Day Trend..Periods of snow will continue through Monday as the frontal system moves though the region. On Tuesday unsettled conditions will give a few flurries to the alpine. The next frontal system spreads snow to the region beginning late Wednesday.

Snowfall accumulation 5 to 10 cm.
Freezing level 1500 metres.

Tuesday.. Cloudy with a few flurries.
Snowfall accumulation 2 to 4 cm.
Freezing level 1200 metres.

Wednesday.. Cloudy with periods of snow beginning late in the day.
Snowfall accumulation 2 to 4 cm.
Freezing level 1200 metres.
