A cold arctic airmass over the BC Interior will continue to weaken tonight with temperatures beginning to slowly moderate.
Some occasional high cloud will drift over the Inner South Coast tonight and increase on Thursday as an offshore system slowly moves towards the coast.

Freezing level valley bottom.
Mountain top winds north 20 to 30 km/h diminish to 10 to 20km/h this evening and becoming west 10 km/h overnight.

Thursday..Sunny with cloudy periods. Increasing cloudiness in the evening.
Alpine high minus 1.
Freezing level at valley bottom rising to 1200 metres in the afternoon.
Mountain top winds light and variable becoming west 20 km/h in the evening.

Friday.. Cloudy. Snow developing in the afternoon.
Snowfall accumulation 5 cm.
Freezing level near 1000 metres.

Saturday.. Snow.
Snowfall accumulation 5 to 10 cm.
Freezing level near valley bottom.

Sunday.. Snow.
Snowfall accumulation 10 to 15 cm.
Freezing level rising to near 800 metres.

5 Day Trend..A cold front approaching from the northwest on Friday will spread snow to alpine regions beginning in the late afternoon.
Behind the system a moist onshore flow will spread flurries on Saturday. A more significant snowfall will accompany a stronger frontal system pushing across the South Coast on Sunday.
