Northwesterly flow

Northwesterly flow will keep the region mainly dry today.
A surface trough of low pressure developing along the British Columbia coast will spread clouds and periods of snow to the area overnight through Saturday.

Today..Clearing this morning.
Alpine high minus 14.
Freezing level valley bottom.
Mountain top winds light and variable.

Tonight..A few clouds. Becoming cloudy near midnight with a few flurries.
Alpine temperature steady near minus 13.
Snowfall accumulation trace to 2 cm.
Freezing level valley bottom.
Mountain top winds southwest 20 km/h increasing to 40 overnight.

Saturday..Periods of snow.
Alpine high minus 9.
Snowfall accumulation 2 to 5 cm.
Freezing level valley bottom.
Mountain top winds southwest 30 to 50 km/h.

Sunday.. Snow.
Snowfall accumulation 20 to 30 cm.
Freezing level 800 metres rising to 1400 metres late in the day.

Monday.. Periods of snow.
Snowfall accumulation 10 to 15 cm.
Freezing level 1200 metres.

Tuesday.. Snow.
Snowfall accumulation 10 to 20 cm.
Freezing level 1500 metres.

5 Day Trend..A series of frontal systems will move across the British Columbia coast Sunday through Tuesday spreading heavy precipitation to the region. Freezing levels are expected to rise to 1500 metres Sunday afternoon and on Tuesday as the systems bring in warm air. Therefore precipitation will fall mostly as rain for the Mount Seymour area late Sunday through Tuesday.
