Cooler air on the way

Dry conditions and above seasonal temperatures will persist into tomorrow as the ridge of high pressure weakens and moves inland. A weak disturbance approaches the coast on Thursday causing increased cloudiness and lower freezing levels.

Today.. Sunny with cloudy periods.
Alpine temperature steady near plus 4.
Freezing level 2800 metres lowering to 2400 metres.
Mountain top winds southwest 10 km/h.

Tonight..Increasing cloudiness overnight.
Alpine low zero.
Freezing level 2000 metres.
Mountain top winds southwest 20 km/h increasing to 40 km/h overnight.

Thursday..A mix of sun and cloud.
Alpine high zero.
Freezing level 1400 metres.
Mountain top winds southwest 40 km/h diminishing to 20 km/h near midday.

Friday.. Mainly sunny.
Freezing level near 1000 metres.

Saturday.. A mix of sun and cloud with 40 percent chance of flurries.
Freezing level near valley bottom.

Sunday.. Sunny.
Freezing Level near valley bottom.

5 Day Trend.. An arctic ridge of high pressure is forecast to build over the Yukon towards the end of the week allowing cold air and falling freezing levels to reach the South Coast Mountains. A weak disturbance approaches the region on Saturday increasing the chance of flurries.
