An intense Pacific frontal system will move to the south coast today and stall over the region through Saturday bringing heavy precipitation.

Snow will start this morning and become heavier tonight. As freezing levels rise, snow will change to rain overnight through Saturday over the northshore mountains.

5 Day Trend..A ridge of high pressure offshore will persist during the extended period giving northwesterly flows aloft to the south coast. Generally drier conditions are expected for the period with the exception that a few flurries are forecast on Monday with a weak front passing through.
