Snow on the way

A frontal system will spread snow over the South Coast Mountains tonight and Wednesday.

Tonight..Periods of snow.
Alpine temperature steady near minus 12.
Snowfall accumulation 3 to 5 cm.
Freezing level at valley bottom.
Mountain top winds southwest 30 km/h.

Wednesday..Snow.
Alpine high minus 11.
Snowfall accumulation near 10 cm.
Freezing level at valley bottom.
Mountain top winds southwest 30 km/h increasing to south 40 to 60 km/h in the morning.

Thursday.. A few flurries.
Snowfall accumulation 2 to 3 cm.
Freezing level at valley bottom.

Friday.. Snow.
Snowfall accumulation 10 cm.
Freezing level at valley bottom.

Saturday.. Cloudy. A few flurries.
Snowfall accumulation 4 to 8 cm.
Freezing level at valley bottom.

5 Day Trend..An upper trough will bring flurries to the area Thursday. A disturbance will bring periods of snow to the South Coast mountains Friday. Unsettled conditions are expected Saturday in the wake of the disturbance.
