Strong onshore flow will produce flurries to the south coast mountains today through tonight. An intense low will approach southern Vancouver island overnight and move inland near the US border Thursday morning resulting in possible heavy snowfall accumulations.

Alpine temperature low minus 10.
Snowfall accumulation 10 to 20 cm.
Freezing level at valley bottom.
Mountain top winds easing to southerly 30 km/h.

Thursday..Flurries.
Alpine high steady near minus 10.
Snowfall accumulation 5 to 15 cm.
Freezing level at valley bottom.
Mountain top winds east 20 shifting to westerly 20 km/h in the afternoon.

Friday.. Flurries ending early in the morning then mainly sunny.
Snowfall accumulation trace.
Freezing level at valley bottom.

Saturday.. Periods of snow.
Snowfall accumulation 10 to 15 cm.
Freezing level at valley bottom. Becoming windy.

Sunday.. Periods of snow.
Snowfall accumulation 10 to 20 cm. Windy.
Freezing level at valley bottom rising to 1200 metres late in the day.

5 Day Trend..Another low will track to the south Thursday night with more snowfall. Northwest flow behind the low will keep this area mainly dry on Friday. A weak front will spread flurries on Saturday and a stronger front will bring snow on Sunday with a warming trend.
