Showers beginning overnight

A weak system will approach tonight to give increased cloud with the chance of showers beginning overnight. The warm front from a second more intense system will give snow changing to rain on Thursday as freezing levels rise.

Tonight..Increasing cloudiness. 40 percent chance of flurries towards morning.
Alpine low minus 4.
Freezing level 1700 metres lowering to near valley bottom overnight.
Mountain top winds light and variable.

Thursday..40 percent chance of flurries in the morning. Snow developing near noon changing to rain in the afternoon.
Alpine high plus 1.
Snowfall accumulation trace to 1 cm.
Rainfall amounts 10 to 15 mm.
Freezing level near valley bottom rising to 1800 metres in the afternoon.
Mountain top winds light and variable becoming southwest 20 km/h near noon.

5 Day Trend..The low pressure system and associated cold front will continue to give rain to the region on Friday. Freezing levels lower for Saturday in the wake of the cold front with mainly sunny skies expected. Another frontal system will give increased cloud on Sunday with a few flurries in the evening.

Friday.. Rain.
Rainfall amounts 15 to 25 mm.
Freezing level 2500 metres.

Saturday.. Mainly sunny.
Freezing level 1500 metres.

Sunday.. Cloudy with sunny periods. 60 percent chance of flurries in the evening.
Snowfall accumulation trace.
Freezing level 1400 metres.
