A few showers or wet flurries

A frontal system will reach the south coast mountains this morning bringing a few showers or wet flurries across the region. A low pressure centre will approach from the southwest on Thursday giving rain to the alpine by evening.

Today..Cloudy. 60 percent chance of rain or wet snow.
Alpine high plus 1.
Rainfall amounts 2 mm.
Snowfall accumulation trace.
Freezing level 1800 metres.
Mountain top winds southwest 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h.

Tonight..Cloudy. 60 percent chance of showers or flurries.
Alpine temperature steady near plus 2.
Rainfall amounts 2 mm.
Snowfall accumulation trace.
Freezing level 1900 metres.
Mountain top winds southwest 30 km/h.

Thursday..Mainly cloudy. Periods of rain developing in the evening.
Alpine high plus 4.
Rainfall amounts 5 to 10 mm.
Freezing level 2500 metres.
Mountain top winds southwest 15 km/h in the morning then becoming southerly 40 km/h in the evening.

5 Day Trend..A series of systems embedded in a southwest flow will approach the BC coast spreading rain to the region Friday and Saturday. On Sunday a cool trough of low pressure begins to cross the coast bringing snow and lower freezing levels.

Rainfall amounts 15 to 25 mm.
Freezing level 2500 metres.

Saturday.. Rain.
Rainfall amounts 20 to 30 mm.
Freezing level 2300 metres.

Sunday.. Rain changing to snow.
Snowfall accumulation 15 to 20 cm.
Rainfall amounts 5 to 10 mm.
Freezing level lowering to 1500 metres.
