A cool airmass will give unsettled conditions this morning resulting in scattered showers and flurries into the alpine. An upper ridge building offshore will bring clearing overnight and mainly sunny conditions on Tuesday.

Today..Snow changing to showers late this morning and ending late this afternoon. Alpine high plus 1. Snowfall accumulation 1 to 3 cm.
Rainfall amounts trace to 1 mm. Freezing level 1600 metres rising to 1800 metres in the afternoon. Mountain top winds west 20 km/h becoming southwest 20 km/h late this morning.

Tonight..Mainly cloudy at first. Clearing overnight. Alpine low minus 3. Freezing level 1800 metres falling to 1400 metres overnight. Mountain top winds southwest 20 km/h.
Tuesday..Mainly sunny. Alpine high plus 3. Freezing level 1400 metres rising to 2000 metres in the afternoon. Mountain top winds light and variable.

5 Day Trend..A low pressure system from the Pacific will move onto the coast Wednesday bringing southwesterly flow and rain. The airmass will warm and a chance of snow will be possible only at high elevation. Thursday a cool and unstable airmass will spread a few showers over the area. On Friday conditions will be improving in the afternoon as a weak upper ridge builds offshore bringing sunny breaks later in the day.
