Cold Upper Trough

Cold Upper Trough Will Reach The Coast Today Leading To Cold Wet Conditions On The Mountain With Low Freezing Levels And Snow In The Alpine. The Snow Level Will Be Unusually Low For May And Will Fall Somewhere Around Mid-Mountain. Some Light Flurries Will Linger In The Alpine Tonight And Some Partial Clearing Is Expected For Monday As The Trough Moves Inland. Some Isolated Showers Or Flurries Might Persist Into Monday Afternoon.

Today..Periods Of Snow. Alpine High Minus 1. Snowfall Accumulation 5 To 10 Cm. Freezing Level 1300 Metres Rising To 1600 Metres This Afternoon. Mountain Top Winds South Or Southeast 40 To 60 Km/H.

Tonight..A Few Flurries. Alpine Temperature Steady Near Minus 2.
Snowfall Accumulation 0 To 1 Cm. Freezing Level 1500 Metres.
Mountain Top Winds Light And Variable Rising To North 30 Km/H Overnight.

Monday..Cloudy With Sunny Periods. A Chance Of Showers Or Flurries.
Alpine High Plus 4. Freezing Level Rising To 2200 Metres In The Afternoon. Mountain Top Winds Northwest 20 To 30 Km/H.

5 Day Trend..After A Dry Day On Tuesday, A Weak And Dissipating Front Is Forecast To Bring Clouds And A Chance Of Precipitation On Wednesday. Then A Weak Ridge Of High Pressure Will Rebuild Along The Coast On Thursday.

Tuesday.. Mainly Sunny. Freezing Level 2400 Metres.

Wednesday.. Cloudy With A Chance Of Showers Or Flurries. Freezing Level 1900 Metres.

Thursday.. Sunny With Cloudy Periods. Freezing Level 2100 Metres.
