A Weak Frontal System Over The South Coast Bring Rain To The Coastal Mountains And Snow Inland. The Precipitation Is Expected To Ease Later Today As A Weak Upper Ridge Builds Over The District.
On Tuesday A Pacific Low In The Offshore Waters Of The North Coast Will Deepen Rapidly And Push An Intense Cold Front Vancouver Island In The Afternoon. Ahead Of The Front The Southerly Mountain Top Winds Will Strengthen Considerably And Freezing Levels Along The Coast Will Rise Up To 2000 Metres.

Today..Snow Ending Late This Afternoon. Alpine Temperature Steady Near Minus 2. Snowfall Accumulation 5 Cm. Freezing Level 1500 Metres. Mountain Top Winds South 30 Gusting To 50 Km/H.

Tonight..Cloudy. Snow Developing Overnight. Alpine Temperature Steady Near Minus 1. Snowfall Accumulation Trace To 1 Cm. Freezing Level 1500 Metres. Mountain Top Winds South 30 Km/H Increasing To 40 To 60 Km/H Overnight.

Tuesday..Cloudy With A Few Flurries Becoming Snow Heavy At Times In The Afternoon. Alpine High Zero. Snowfall Accumulation 15 To 20 Cm. Freezing Level 1700 Metres. Mountain Top Winds South 40 To 60 Km/H Increasing To 60 To 90 Km/H In The Afternoon.

Wednesday.. Flurries. Snowfall Accumulation 5 To 10 Cm. Freezing Level 1250 Metres.

Thursday.. Cloudy With A Few Flurries. Snow Developing In The Afternoon. Snowfall Accumulation 15 To 25 Cm. Freezing Level 1000 Metres.

Friday.. A Mix Of Sun And Cloud With A 40 Percent Chance Of Flurries. Snowfall Accumulation Trace. Freezing Level 750 Metres.

5 Day Trend..In The Wake Of The Cold Front A Cool And Unstable Airmass Will Produce Flurries Inland And Showers Along Coast On Wednesday And Thursday. Later On Thursday A Weak Frontal System Is Forecast To Approach The District And Give Some Snow Mixed With Rain Along The Coast. Drier Conditions Are Expected Later On Friday As A Ridge Builds Over The Area.
